Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a gathering in Assam, harshly criticized the Congress, calling it a “shop of false promises.”
He alleged that Congress created divisions among different communities for its own political interests, while the BJP worked to establish lasting peace in the northeastern region.
The Prime Minister said that the NDA government is working for a new era of peace and development in Assam and the entire region, including Bodoland, has been put on the path of stability and development.
He added, “Your love is like a debt to me and it has always been my endeavor to repay this debt by serving you and working for the development of this region. A few weeks ago, I also got the opportunity to see Bodo culture up close in Guwahati.”
