Srinagar, April 12: In a significant show of institutional support, the Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association, Srinagar, has extended its wholehearted endorsement to the 100-day “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan,” recently launched by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

In an official press release to Onlykashmir.in, the Bar Association described the campaign as a timely and decisive intervention to combat the growing menace of drug addiction and trafficking across the Union Territory. Emphasizing the urgency of the issue, the legal body noted that the initiative has the potential to emerge as a transformative movement in safeguarding the youth and restoring the social fabric of the region.

President Waseem Gul, reiterated that the legal community stands “shoulder to shoulder” with the authorities in this noble cause and will play its part in ensuring that the initiative not only succeeds in Jammu & Kashmir but also sets a precedent for the rest of the country.

The Association expressed unwavering confidence in the leadership of the Lieutenant Governor, terming the campaign a visionary step toward addressing one of the most pressing social challenges facing Jammu & Kashmir today.

Calling for a collective societal response, the Bar Association urged members of the legal fraternity, civil society, educators, parents, religious leaders, and youth to come forward and participate actively in the campaign. It stressed that only a united and sustained effort can ensure the complete eradication of the drug menace.
