Kashmir’s growing transition towards podcasts, video interviews and digital content has led to the launch of Masterpod Studio, a professionally equipped rental studio in Srinagar offering facilities for podcasts, interviews, commercials and other digital productions.
The initiative comes amid a paradigm shift in the way people consume and produce media, with podcasts and digital platforms emerging as increasingly important avenues for storytelling, journalism, entertainment and public engagement. Recognising this changing media landscape and the growing demand for professional content creation facilities in Kashmir, the organisers have established Masterpod Studio to provide creators with access to a dedicated and professionally equipped production space.
Inspired by professional studio concepts in Bengaluru, Masterpod Studio offers high-end equipment for shooting, recording and editing, with the aim of making professional content creation more accessible and affordable in Kashmir.
Founder Anzar Ahmad said the studio was established in response to the growing demand for podcasts and digital content in Kashmir, while professionally equipped and affordable studio spaces remain limited.
“Kashmir has immense creative talent, particularly budding journalists and young content creators who have ideas but often lack access to professional platforms and facilities,” Ahmad said, adding that the studio aims to provide them an affordable space to create, tell their stories and connect Kashmir with audiences across the world.
The studio will cater to journalists, podcasters, businesses, influencers and independent creators, providing facilities for podcasts, interviews, commercials and other forms of digital production.
The launch marks a new addition to Kashmir’s evolving digital media ecosystem, offering local creators a professional platform to produce content and potentially reach audiences beyond the region.
