Actress Krishna Gautam is currently enjoying an exciting phase in her career. After winning appreciation for her performance as a possessed girl in Ram Gopal Varma’s horror film 12 O’Clock (2021), the actress continues to remain in the spotlight with her work in the entertainment space. She has also been making waves with her music channel, XYZ Music, which is steadily gaining attention among audiences.
Speaking exclusively about her experience of working with Ram Gopal Varma, Gautam recalled the filmmaker’s calm and supportive nature on the sets. The horror film, which also featured Mithun Chakraborty, Dalip Tahil, Makrand Deshpande, Flora Saini and Manav Kaul, gave Gautam an opportunity to work on an intense character and understand Varma’s distinctive filmmaking process.
“One of the things I admired the most about Ram Gopal Varma sir was how humble and patient he was on set. He never believed in putting unnecessary pressure on his actors. If he felt a performance wasn’t working on a particular day, he would simply cancel that shoot and reschedule it for the next day, giving the actor time to prepare rather than forcing the scene,” she shared.
Gautam further revealed an interesting aspect of Varma’s direction. According to her, the filmmaker would personally enact dialogues and record them for the actors, helping them understand the emotions and expressions he envisioned for a particular scene.
“What amazed me even more was that he would personally enact the dialogues, record them, and show the videos to the actors so they could understand the emotions, expressions, and his vision for the scene. It was such a thoughtful way of guiding us, and it made the entire process so much easier. His calm nature and genuine dedication to bringing out the best in every actor made working with him a truly enriching experience,” she added.
Meanwhile, Krishna Gautam is also enjoying the growing response to XYZ Music. The channel has been attracting attention with its music videos and melodies, with three songs already crossing the one-million-view mark. O Janeja, featuring Gautam and Freddy Daruwala, and Me & You, featuring Gautam and Toofan Singh Gill, have each crossed 2 million views.
With her acting journey and music venture progressing simultaneously, Krishna Gautam is clearly making her mark across multiple facets of the entertainment industry.
