Israeli occupation forces have committed 393,752 crimes and violations against Palestinians between October 7, 2023 and August 31, 2026, according to the latest report released by the OIC Media Observatory on Israeli Crimes Against Palestinians, an initiative of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation that tracks and documents alleged Israeli actions in the occupied Palestinian territories on a weekly basis.
According to the 143rd edition of the observatory’s report, the number of documented incidents during the week of August 25 to 31, 2026 alone reached 955, spread across Gaza, the West Bank and other occupied Palestinian territories, with violations ranging from killings to encroachments on Palestinian grazing lands.
In the Gaza Strip, the report states that Israeli forces continued raids that it describes as violations of the ceasefire agreement currently in place, resulting in the deaths of 31 Palestinians, including four children, during the week under review, with 88 others reported wounded. Civil defence teams reportedly recovered two additional bodies during the same period. In the West Bank, the report documents three Palestinians killed and 28 others wounded over the same seven day span.
Cumulatively, the observatory’s report puts the total number of Palestinians killed between October 7, 2023 and August 31, 2026 at 74,610, with the number of wounded placed at 179,551. These cumulative figures reflect the OIC’s own compilation methodology and have not been independently verified by this publication; casualty figures from the Gaza conflict have been a subject of ongoing dispute between Palestinian authorities, Israeli officials and international monitoring bodies throughout the conflict.
The report also documents 339 raids by Israeli forces on West Bank cities and villages over the seven day period, during which it says 154 Palestinians, including eight children, were arrested, five others were wounded, and 19 homes were demolished. Separately, the observatory recorded 104 incidents it attributes to Israeli settlers during the same week, along with 17 settlement related activities that it describes as aimed at seizing Palestinian land and property.
The OIC Media Observatory has published these weekly reports on a continuing basis since the start of the current conflict, positioning them as part of the organisation’s broader documentation and advocacy effort on behalf of Palestinians in the occupied territories. Israeli authorities have not commented on this specific report, and have in the past disputed similar compilations of casualty and incident data circulated by Palestinian-aligned and international bodies.
