Sultan Warriors Baramulla Lift Inaugural Chinar Premier League 2026 Title

Srinagar, September 15, 2026: The inaugural Chinar Premier League (CPL) Cricket Tournament 2026 concluded at Gen Bipin Rawat Stadium, Baramulla, with Sultan Warriors Baramulla emerging as champions after defeating Ramzii Sports Srinagar in an exciting final.

The tournament, organised by the Chinar Corps, witnessed record participation, with 130 teams registering for the competition and 79 teams selected from across the Kashmir Valley. The successful tournament provided a major platform for young cricketers to showcase their talent and pursue their sporting ambitions.

In the final, Sultan Warriors Baramulla posted 182/9, before bowling out Ramzii Sports Srinagar for 142, securing a 40-run victory and lifting the coveted CPL 2026 trophy.

Aaqib Khanday of Sultan Warriors was named Man of the Match, while Asim Bashir, also of the winning side, was adjudged Man of the Series.

The closing ceremony was attended by Shri Atal Dulloo, IAS, Chief Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir UT Government, the GOC, Dagger Division, and other distinguished guests from the local community.

Beyond the cricketing contest, CPL 2026 provided a platform to showcase Kashmir’s sporting talent and strengthen engagement between the Indian Army and the local community, particularly the youth.
