Srinagar, October 12: Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL) accorded a warm and dignified farewell to its outgoing Chief Executive Officer, Faz Lul Haseeb, in recognition of his leadership, administrative guidance and valuable contributions to the organisation.

The farewell function was attended by Additional Chief Executive Officer Suhail Ul Islam and Joint Commissioner Nuzhat Khurshid Qureshi. The Chief Engineer of SSCL, the General Managers of Finance, Planning and Urban Development (P&UD) and the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC), and other senior officers and staff were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, officers acknowledged Haseeb’s professional commitment and administrative leadership. They credited him with helping advance SSCL’s mandate of urban transformation and with strengthening civic infrastructure in the city.

SSCL is the Special Purpose Vehicle set up under the Centre’s Smart Cities Mission and incorporated in 2017 to plan, execute and oversee the Smart City works in Srinagar. The company sits at the centre of the city’s push for modern civic amenities, better public spaces and improved urban services, which makes the role of its Chief Executive Officer central to how quickly projects move from approval to delivery.

During Haseeb’s tenure, SSCL continued to advance key urban development and infrastructure projects aimed at the planned, sustainable and integrated development of Srinagar. Those present at the function said the organisation had kept up its work across the city while coordinating with the departments and agencies involved in urban governance.

SSCL placed on record its appreciation for the services rendered by Haseeb and extended its best wishes for success in his future assignments. Farewells of this kind are a customary mark of respect within the administrative set-up, and the gathering of senior officers across finance, planning, engineering and command-and-control functions reflected the breadth of the team that works under the CEO.

The organisation reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining the momentum of urban transformation, strengthening civic amenities and improving the quality of life for the people of Srinagar. With a change at the top, attention now turns to the continuity of ongoing projects and the pace at which pending works are taken forward for residents and visitors alike.
