Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir may experience isolated spells of light rainfall on October 23 and 24, while predominantly dry weather is expected to prevail across the region during the following week, according to the latest forecast issued by the Meteorological Centre Srinagar.

The weather department has indicated that light rain could occur at a few isolated locations on Friday and Saturday. However, conditions are expected to remain generally dry from October 25 to October 31, providing a relatively stable weather window for outdoor activities and ongoing agricultural operations.

The forecast also points to the possibility of light rain or light snowfall at a few places between November 1 and 3. The potential change in precipitation towards the beginning of November will depend on the weather systems developing closer to that period.

Farmers across the Valley have been advised to continue harvesting and other agricultural activities. Based on the current forecast, no widespread disruption to these operations has been indicated.

The coming days remain important for farmers engaged in seasonal harvesting, as changing weather conditions can influence the pace of agricultural work. While the immediate outlook suggests predominantly dry conditions after October 24, any further precipitation, particularly in higher-altitude areas, will depend on subsequent meteorological developments.

Residents and farmers are advised to follow official weather updates for the latest information, especially as the forecast period approaches November.

The department’s outlook currently indicates a brief possibility of light precipitation, followed by a longer period of generally dry weather across Jammu and Kashmir.
