Nitish Kumar takes oath as Bihar Chief Minister for the tenth time

Janata Dal United chief Nitish Kumar took oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the tenth time in a grand ceremony at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was specially present at the oath-taking ceremony, which gave an extraordinary political significance to the occasion.
Union Ministers Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Chirag Paswan and many senior NDA leaders were present at the ceremony. Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan administered the oath to Nitish Kumar.
A total of 27 ministers also took oath on the occasion, including BJP’s Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Dilip Jaiswal, Mangal Pandey, Nitin Noban, Ram Kirpal Yadav. JDU’s Lashi Singh, Shravan Kumar, Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Zaman Khan, Ashok Chaudhary also took charge of the ministry.
In the recent assembly elections, the NDA had secured a huge majority and formed the government by winning 202 out of 243 seats. BJP won 89 seats and JDU 85.
Prime Minister Modi congratulated Nitish Kumar for his tenth term, calling him an experienced administrator and the new cabinet a strong and talented team that will take Bihar to new heights of development.
