Srinagar/ A one-day interfaith conference was organized by Care Foundation and Charitable Trust in the conference room of Tagore Hall, in which scholars, intellectuals and social workers from different regions participated.
The speakers, while expressing their views, emphasized the importance of interfaith harmony, tolerance and mutual respect and said that promoting peace and brotherhood is indispensable in the present era.
Several eminent personalities addressed the event while the program was chaired by Chairman CARE Foundation. The opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Mehjabin Nabi and the program was moderated by Dr. Wahid Raza.
During the conference, it was agreed that promoting dialogue and cooperation between followers of different religions is the need of the hour.
Finally, certificates were distributed among the participants and a commitment was expressed that such programs will continue to be organized in the future so that peace and harmony can be strengthened.
