Srinagar, April 15: Continuing its traditional commitment, JK Bank has officially opened registration for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 across the country, which received a huge public response on the very first day itself. The Yatra will commence from July 3 and continue till August 28. The bank’s 110 designated branches witnessed a rush of pilgrims throughout the day and around 6000 pilgrims completed their registration on the very first day itself.
This process is being carried out on a “first come, first served” basis as per the instructions of Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board. On this occasion, MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee said that the bank has always been committed to providing facilities to the pilgrims and ease is being ensured at every stage, from registration to banking services during the pilgrimage.
He said that special help desks have been set up in the branches while the staff has been trained in advance so that the pilgrims do not face any kind of problem. For registration, verification is being done through Aadhaar-based biometric e-KYC and the pilgrimage permit is being issued from the Shrine Board’s online portal. It should be noted that it has also been made necessary for the pilgrims to submit a mandatory health certificate issued by an authorized medical institution.
