Srinagar Police Traces Three Missing Minor Girls From Amritsar Within 72 Hours

Srinagar Police successfully located and recovered three missing minor girls from Amritsar, Punjab, within 72 hours of their disappearance through swift coordination and systematic investigation methodology, demonstrating the effectiveness of inter-state law enforcement cooperation. The recovery was executed in connection with FIR No. 63/2026 registered under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Police Station Ram Munshi Bagh, Srinagar. Acting with appropriate urgency upon receiving the missing persons complaint, Srinagar Police launched an intensive investigation, rapidly developed vital intelligence regarding the whereabouts of the three minor girls, and immediately deputed a dedicated police team to Punjab. Working in close coordination with Punjab Police counterparts, the team successfully traced and safely recovered all three minor girls from Amritsar within the 72-hour timeframe. The recovered children are being transported back to Srinagar, where all necessary legal procedures will be completed and further investigation conducted in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
