A software company has rolled out a clinic management platform in Kashmir this week that does away with the per-booking commissions charged by larger appointment portals, positioning itself as an alternative for doctors still relying on paper registers to run their practices.
The platform, called Medisray, has been developed by CyberX Info System and brings together appointment scheduling, billing and patient records into a single system. Rather than taking a cut of each consultation booked through it, the platform charges clinics a flat monthly subscription, a structural difference the company is marketing as its central selling point in a crowded clinic software market.
Kashmir Valley clinics are among the first to come on board, with the company describing the rollout as a deliberate first step before a phased expansion to other parts of the country. CyberX said it chose the region as a proving ground precisely because of its mix of urban practices, smaller town clinics and inconsistent internet connectivity, arguing that a platform built to perform reliably under those conditions would hold up in any market nationally. Clinics registering in the Valley during this launch phase are being offered priority onboarding and setup support.
The company frames the product as a response to a familiar problem across small and mid-size Indian clinics, many of which continue to depend on paper registers, WhatsApp groups and staff memory to manage patient flow, a setup that frequently results in missed appointments, billing errors and delays in retrieving a returning patient’s medical history.
Medisray is built around three functions: online and walk-in booking with automated SMS and WhatsApp reminders, GST-compliant billing with tracking for paid and pending accounts, and a searchable records system for prescriptions, vitals, lab reports and scans that can be shared with patients directly over WhatsApp. The platform also includes a low-bandwidth mode intended to keep it usable on slower connections, along with reminders that do not require patients to download a separate app, features aimed squarely at the operating realities of clinics outside major metros.
On data protection, the company has said patient information is encrypted both at rest and in transit, backed up daily, and hosted on ISO 27001-certified infrastructure located within India, with practices it says are aligned to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. These claims remain company assertions that have not been independently verified.
“Doctors kept telling us the same thing, that they were losing money to portals and time to paper, and no one was building for the way their clinics actually work,” said Faisal Saleh, CEO of CyberX Info System, adding that the Kashmir rollout would shape how the platform scales across the rest of the country. Medisray is available now with a free tier requiring no card or hardware, and clinics can register through the company’s website.
