Jammu and Kashmir’s fencing talent has earned international recognition as Shreya Gupta and Vishal Thapar delivered outstanding performances at the ongoing Commonwealth Fencing Championship in Lagos, Nigeria.

Shreya Gupta clinched the gold medal in her respective event, while Vishal Thapar secured the silver, marking a significant achievement for Jammu and Kashmir on the international sporting stage. Their performances have brought pride to the Union Territory and highlighted the growing presence of local athletes in global competitions.

The J&K Sports Council congratulated both fencers for their impressive performances, praising their hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence.
