New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday released former President Ram Nath Kovind’s autobiography, “Triumph of the Indian Republic: My Life, My Struggles,” at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.
Modi said Kovind’s life reflects struggle, perseverance, humility and commitment to public service, describing the book as a valuable legacy for Indian democracy and society.
Recalling Kovind’s difficult childhood and his rise despite limited resources, the Prime Minister said his journey demonstrated how education, hard work and determination can overcome adversity.
Modi also praised Kovind’s simplicity and humility, recalling his visit to his village Paraunkh, where he bowed to the soil and touched the feet of his former teachers.
The Prime Minister urged young people to read the autobiography and draw inspiration from Kovind’s experiences for building a self-reliant and developed India.
He said the book would preserve not only important memories of Kovind’s life but also a significant chapter of India’s democratic journey.
