I-Day Celebrations at Top Educational Institutions in Kashmir

Srinagar: The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with enthusiasm in various universities and higher educational institutions.

Kashmir University: Vice Chancellor Prof. Nilofar Khan hoisted the national flag at the main campus and highlighted the importance of unity, democracy and equal opportunities. Celebrations were also held at Anantnag, Baramulla and Kupwara campuses.

NIT Srinagar: Director-in-charge Prof. Roohi Naz hoisted the national flag and exhorted the youth to play their role in nation building. 10 NCC girls of the institute participated in the parade at Bakshi Stadium. Registrar Prof. Atiq-ur-Rehman was also present.

SKUAST Kashmir: Vice Chancellor Prof. Nazir Ahmed Ganai hoisted the flag at Shalimar Campus and emphasized the role of the university in agricultural development, farmers’ welfare and sustainable agriculture. Events were also held at other campuses.

Central University of Kashmir: Vice Chancellor Prof. A. Rabindranath hoisted the flag at Tolamulla Campus and urged the youth to play their role in building a developed India 2047 with knowledge, integrity and discipline. Certificates were also distributed among NCC volunteers.

Islamic University of Science and Technology: Vice Chancellor Professor Shakeel Ahmed Romshu hoisted the flag and exhorted the youth to play an active role in research, innovation, entrepreneurship and nation building
