A solemn condolence prayer was held during the morning assembly at Government Girls Model Higher Secondary School, Mubarak Mandi, Jammu, on Saturday to express deep sorrow and solidarity with the victims of the devastating floods that struck Nepal. The assembly was conducted under the guidance of Principal Neelam Sharma, with students, teachers and members of the school community coming together to pay heartfelt tribute to those who lost their lives in the calamity.
As a symbol of hope, peace and remembrance, students lit diyas in honour of the departed souls. They also displayed thoughtfully prepared slogans and messages of condolence, expressing their empathy for the victims and solidarity with the people of Nepal as the region continues to grapple with the aftermath of the disaster.
The Principal, teachers and students observed a moment of silence and offered prayers for the departed souls, while also praying for the safety, strength and wellbeing of those affected by the floods.
