Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended the Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha in Raebareli in the holy presence of Pandit Pradeep Mishra, using the occasion to reflect on themes of spiritual unity, universal welfare and India’s civilisational outlook on the global stage.

Sinha observed that the divine teachings of Lord Shiva represent a sacred pilgrimage for seekers of truth, and extended heartfelt gratitude to Uttar Pradesh Minister Manoj Kumar Pandey for organising the spiritual gathering, which he said had infused new vitality among those present. Drawing on a traditional metaphor, the Lieutenant Governor remarked that just as gold is refined by fire, association with holy company rekindles and purifies the spiritual energy within the soul.

Speaking on the eternal vision of universal welfare, Sinha recalled that Sanatana Dharma has always emphasised unity and harmony, and said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is increasingly manifesting this philosophy on the global stage. Referring to the recent BRICS Summit held in Delhi, he observed that the ancient mantra Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, meaning “the world is one family,” is now being embraced by nations worldwide as a foundation for peace and collective welfare, describing this as a vindication of what India’s ancestors envisioned millennia ago.

The Lieutenant Governor urged society to remain vigilant against divisive elements, asserting that unity remains India’s greatest strength. He reminded the gathering that Sanatana culture nurtures diversity, harmony and human welfare, and called upon saints and enlightened members of society to guide the nation toward comprehensive development. Sinha affirmed his confidence that the spirit of unity would once again propel India toward developed nation status, restoring what he described as the country’s ancient glory.

“A time has come when we shall guide the world and saints and enlightened members of society will play a vital role and bear great responsibility in this mission. The power of unity and its spirit will once again make India a developed nation, and I am fully confident that we shall regain our ancient glory,” Sinha said.

The event in Raebareli drew a large gathering of devotees and dignitaries, reflecting the continuing prominence of such spiritual congregations in Uttar Pradesh’s public life, and underscored the Lieutenant Governor’s recurring emphasis on cultural and spiritual themes during his public engagements outside Jammu and Kashmir.
