Srinagar, September 17: The University of Kashmir concluded its Women’s Inter-Department Cricket, Women’s Inter-Department Badminton and Men’s Inter-Department Badminton tournaments with a prize distribution ceremony at Ground “A”.
In women’s cricket, the Department of Physical Education & Sports (M.P.Ed.) defeated the Department of Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure Studies by six wickets to lift the title.
The Institute of Technology, Zakura won the women’s badminton final against the Department of Education 2–0, while the Department of Physical Education & Sports defeated the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences 3–2 in the men’s badminton final.
Director, Directorate of Physical Education & Sports, Prof. Raies A Qadri, distributed trophies, medals and certificates and highlighted sports’ role in fostering discipline, leadership and teamwork.
The tournaments were coordinated by Dr. Nadeem Ahmad Dar, with proceedings conducted by Tausif Bhat and Sajid Yousuf.
