Srinagar: Lok Sabha member Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi has questioned the Jammu and Kashmir Police over the installation of barriers at frequent intervals on Srinagar city roads during evening hours.
In a post on X, Mehdi said that vehicles have been subjected to checks for several days, resulting in long traffic jams and inconvenience to the public.
He asked the Jammu and Kashmir Police to explain the reason behind the measures and questioned whether there was a specific security rationale for the checks.
