PIB Jammu Media Delegation Visits IOCL Refinery and Amul Dairy in Gujarat

Vadodara/Jammu, February 26: A media delegation from Press Information Bureau (PIB) Jammu, led by Director Ms. Neha Jalali, visited the IOCL Refinery and Amul Dairy in Gujarat as part of an ongoing media tour.

At IOCL Refinery:
Executive Director and Refinery Head, Sh. Biplob Biswas, informed that IOCL is among the country’s largest refineries, playing a key role in meeting India’s energy needs. He highlighted production of LAB, Butyl Acrylate and n-Butanol, and the ₹5,894 crore Acrylic Oxo Alcohol Project inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September 2025.
Executive Director (Core Group) Shri Sunil Kumar Sinha spoke about IOCL’s focus on renewables and decarbonisation.
General Manager (Technical Services) Shri K. Subhash and General Manager (HR) Ms. Vibha Kumar also interacted with the media.
The ₹17,825 crore LuPech project has enhanced Gujarat Refinery’s capacity from 13.7 MMTPA to 18 MMTPA.

At Amul Dairy, Anand:
Senior Manager Sh. Amarjeet Singh stated that GCMMF procures nearly 11 billion litres of milk annually from 3.6 million farmers. In FY 2024–25, milk procurement stood at 1.75 billion kilograms with a turnover of 1.63 billion US dollars.

The visit provided firsthand insights into Gujarat’s industrial strength and cooperative dairy model, highlighting their contribution to economic growth and rural development.
