Eid Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W.) was celebrated across Kulgam district on Wednesday with religious fervour and enthusiasm, as devotees from various parts of the district gathered at revered shrines to mark the occasion and pay their respects.
At Ziyarat Sharif Hazrat Mir Sayed Mohammad Hussain Simnaini (R.A.), religious clerics addressed the gathering, highlighting the life, teachings and Seerat of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) and urging devotees to follow his teachings and uphold the message of peace, compassion, brotherhood and humanity. Durood-o-Salam was recited at the shrine as large numbers of the faithful converged to observe the occasion.
Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Shahzad Alam also visited the shrine and paid obeisance, meeting members of the Awqaf Committee during his visit and reviewing the arrangements made for devotees. He appreciated the efforts of the committee and officials in ensuring smooth arrangements, stressing the need to maintain proper facilities, cleanliness and effective crowd management at the shrine throughout the celebrations.
The observances concluded with special prayers for peace, prosperity and the well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, capping a day marked by devotion and communal harmony across the district.
