BJP Jammu and Kashmir President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma on Sunday attended the “Mere Sapno Ka Bharat” programme at Vijay Memorial School, Ganderbal, as chief guest, felicitating students who took part in a painting competition organised under the party’s month long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.
The competition, which invited students to express their vision and imagination for the India they aspire to see in the future, formed part of a broader outreach initiative under which the BJP is conducting a series of public engagement and community oriented activities across Jammu and Kashmir, with a particular focus on youth participation. Sat Sharma was accompanied by BJP J&K Vice President Dr Shehnaz Ganai, General Secretaries Mohammad Anwar Khan and Gopal Mahajan, State Secretary and Prabhari Arif Raja, and Ganderbal District President Ghulam Hassan.
Interacting with the students, Sat Sharma appreciated their creativity, enthusiasm and active participation, and encouraged them to pursue their aspirations with dedication and a strong sense of responsibility toward the nation. Addressing the gathering, he highlighted various achievements and development initiatives of the Modi government, pointing to progress in infrastructure, education, technology and connectivity, and stressed the importance of empowering the younger generation to become active contributors to India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation.
Sat Sharma said the “Mere Sapno Ka Bharat” initiative gives students a platform to express their aspirations for the country’s future, and appreciated Vijay Memorial School for hosting the programme and fostering an environment that encourages creativity, confidence and civic engagement among its students. He stressed that the dreams and aspirations of young Indians will play an important role in shaping the nation’s trajectory, and urged the students to keep developing their talents while contributing positively to society.
The event is part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, through which the BJP’s Jammu and Kashmir unit has been running a series of outreach programmes across the Union Territory aimed at promoting public participation and engagement across different sections of society. The party has positioned youth centric initiatives as a key pillar of the ongoing campaign, with similar events being organised across various districts to encourage young people to engage with civic and national themes through creative platforms.
