Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to arrive in Paris on Tuesday evening as part of a multi-faceted visit to France that will see him engage with some of the world’s most prominent corporate leaders, address a major European technology summit, and connect with the Indian diaspora community in the French capital.
On the business side, Modi is scheduled to hold meetings with leading chief executive officers, with discussions expected to continue well into the afternoon on the day following his arrival. These engagements are anticipated to cover investment opportunities in India, technological collaboration, and bilateral economic priorities, reflecting the Indian government’s continued push to leverage high-profile international visits for attracting foreign investment and deepening industrial partnerships.
Following his meetings with corporate leaders, the Prime Minister will participate in VivaTech, one of Europe’s most prominent annual technology and innovation summits. Hosted in Paris, VivaTech brings together startups, established technology companies, investors, and policymakers from across the globe. Modi is expected to deliver an address at the event, which will provide him a platform to project India’s rapidly expanding technology sector, its startup ecosystem, and its ambitions in areas including digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and clean energy.
In the evening, the Prime Minister is scheduled to attend a community event and interact with members of the Indian diaspora settled in France. Such events carry both diplomatic and cultural significance, reinforcing the bonds between India and its large and professionally accomplished overseas community while also serving as a platform for cultural diplomacy through performances showcasing India’s heritage.
The France visit comes at a time of deepening strategic and economic ties between New Delhi and Paris. The two countries share a defence partnership, strong space cooperation links, and growing economic engagement. Modi’s participation in VivaTech, in particular, signals India’s intent to position itself as an active player in the global technology conversation at the highest levels.
